There has never been a better time to own GBP/NZD

The pound was the top performer in the second quarter while the New Zealand dollar lagged. The 17% rally in GBP/NZD is the largest on record.

The pair gained 3383 pips in the quarter and after April 14 was in a non-stop uptrend.

What next?

The pair posted a beautiful circular bottom on the quarterly chart, including the bullish reversal back in Q3 2013. The pair faces some resistance at 2.38/41 and that could lead to some consolidation but we're in a period -- unlike most of the last 20 years -- where the Bank of England is much more likely to hike rates than the RBNZ. This is probably just the beginning.

What do you think will be the best trade of Q3?
