Dollar losing ground against euro, yen and pound

The US dollar has slide 20-30 pips against EUR, JPY and GBP in the past half hour as stock markets lose ground and dollar-selling hits ahead of the European close.

We're keeping a close eye on cable as it rallies to a fresh session high at 1.5321.

There's more on our technical analysis page as great highlighted the confluence of resistance at 1.5317 that held up the pair so far. The next level to watch is 1.5382, which is the 50% retracement of the late-September decline.

The stock market is the other spot to watch as the S&P 500 is now down 3 points to 1976 after hitting as high as 1999.

The calendar for the remainder of the day features a US 10-year note auction and comments from the Fed's Williams.
